describe opportunities for volunteer learning, including in institutional settings such as schools and museums
support teachers and project teams in providing educational opportunities using citizen science
build a network of teachers using citizen science in classrooms
develop an evaluation strategy and tools for learning in citizen science.

In March, 2018, the Leysin American School (LAS) in Switzerland hosted a 2.5-day workshop on the ‘Synergies between education and citizen science’, co-organized by the ECSA and COST education and learning working groups, and funded by COST Action.
Speaker’s presentations, workshops, videos and other materials can be found on the LAS website. Additionally, the videos are all on the COST Action workshop YouTube channel.
Before the ECSA General Assembly in Brussels in 2019, the working group organized a COST Action-funded workshop to help build a community network for educators, teachers, citizen science practitioners and researchers on synergies between citizen science and education.
